Upon arrival at Harbor Point, you are met with bold architectural forms, complemented by silver-gray trim, large black-sash windows, and sleek copper detailing. The home is clad in Alaskan Yellow Cedar that will weather to join the community of classic gray shingled homes found along the Cape Cod shoreline. Harbor Point is transparent and warm, making it the perfect location for indoor/outdoor family events. The house is topped with a copper cupola, providing an iconic waypoint for passerby sailing and fishing boats.
The concept for Harbor Point was to provide single-floor, barrier-free living with a clean, timeless, artful aesthetic that captures the essence of Cape Cod. The primary rooms are sited to take advantage of the easterly views of the Atlantic. The minimalist breezeway leads to the piano-shaped patio and screened porch, containing fold-up windows that offer protection from the elements on a cool day or during the shoulder months. Transformative design thinking balances an intimate identity with an expansive experience; traditional form-making with new compositional elements; and quintessential expression at the head of the harbor.
